Holiday season is here! Did everyone have a Happy Thanksgiving?   DGal and Relationship blogger, Laura Bilotta from Single in the City – matchmaker, dating expert, author, and radio host linked up via social media to share some dress up tips and advice to help take the connection to another level this holiday season.  It’s not about dressing to impress anymore.  Your outfit should speak volumes about the authentic you.

Trying to set up a date now isn’t like it used to be.  When it’s an official date you panic and wonder what do I wear??!!!

The LBD Isn’t the Standard Anymore

• • Don’t wear something you haven’t worn before- a date isn’t the time to experiment, take your new outfit for a spin first.

  • Wear something you’re comfortable in; if you hate heals don’t wear them! If you’re uncomfortable you may get crabby and not pay attention to your date because you’re focused on your misery. This goes along with dressing for the weather, if you need a coat BRING ONE, there are so many cute ones to choose from.

  • Don’t be afraid of colour! Wearing colour opposed to standard black is a nice change, it shows confidence and can give more of a ‘carefree’ vibe.

  • Make sure you know what you guys will be doing on your date so you can dress appropriately.

• Plan out your undergarments if you think you maybe doing any ‘extra-curricular activities’ after.

  

• Don’t be afraid of jeans! As long as you aren’t going to a really fancy place then jeans are totally ok for a date, if it’s an evening date stick to a pair that are fitted and dark wash.

• In the end your date wants to get to know you and doesn’t really care too much about what you’re wearing. You want to look nice and put together so that you can focus on each other rather than your clothes.
